A 206km cycling event through the scenic lanes of Kent and East Sussex, covering varied terrain including a few challenging hills and some easier flat sections in between.

Starting at Goody Ales brewery in Herne Common, the route heads through Whitstable, Selling and Charing to the first control at Biddenden. From there, the roads become more rolling as you ride past Bodiam Castle to Robertsbridge then up to Brightling (past the pyramid mausoleum of Victorian eccentric Jack Fuller) before descending to the next control at Pevensey. From there, it’s a flat coastal section through Bexhill and Hastings, a climb to Fairlight followed by a fast descent to Pett Levels, then through Rye and turning inland through Appledore to the next control at Brabourne Lees. Then it’s a climb over the North Downs followed by a long, mostly downhill section through the woods to Chartham, then a final undulating section around the outskirts of Canterbury to the finish back at Goody Ales for a well-earned beer or two.

Entry fee includes tea/coffee and snacks at the start, and a meal at the finish featuring quality local produce. The bar will be open throughout the afternoon and evening, serving Goody Ales beers, local cider, wine and soft drinks. Friends and family are welcome to join you at the finish for a sociable afternoon/evening.

Camping is available at the start/finish for a small charge should you wish to stay over the night before the ride, or the night after.
